Haibu and the Animal Protectors is a fun and loving group of animal friends. A little Kanüüx is joined by his friends Pip the Panda, Lola the Monkey, and Asha the Tiger. The show invites young viewers to sing-a-long to songs, travel with them on adventures, and explore various topics that arise in a child’s life. So, come join Haibu and the Animal Protectors as they sing, learn, laugh, and grow.

Kanüüx

Kanüüx got his name because of the heart-shaped marking on his nose. He is loyal, loving, kind, and would follow Haibu to the end of the earth. His favorite things in life are belly rubs, forehead kisses, and going on the adventures with his crew. He is passionate about keeping plastic out of the ocean and our beaches clean of trash. When he isn’t with his friends trying to help better the world, you can find Kanüüx relaxing in the sun drinking his favorite drink, a Cuddly Bubbly. Kanüüx’s favorite animal? …seals, of course 🙂

Asha

Asha is a baby tiger that got separated from her family and was taken in by Kanüüx’s Crew. She loves to play sports, be outside, and is fascinated by insects and bugs. When she’s not being active she enjoys curling up with a soft cuddly blanket and a good book. This cub is super smart and is always learning. Her favorite animal isn’t an animal but a butterfly which is an insect. Asha’s favorite hobby is butterflying which involves observing their brightly colored wings, fluttering flight, and catching and releasing them.

Lola

Lola was rescued from the rainforest. She is a lover of all things pink, giggles, and eating fluffy marshmallows. When she gets sad, anxious or just needs to be comforted she will say, “Squeeeze Meeee” and her animal friends that she loves and trusts will hug her until she feels safe again. Her friends bring a smile to her heart and she would do anything for them. Lola’s favorite animal is the Puffin because of their brightly colored beaks and their funny nickname “the clowns of the sea”

Pip

Pip is a baby Panda from China. He loves building forts from bamboo and playing board games with his friends. When he isn’t hanging out with his friends, you can find him chilling, eating Mac and cheese, and listening to music. He is the peacemaker, team player, and spreads positivity everywhere he goes. Pip’s dream is to become a dragon when he grows up.

Letter from Haibu

Welcome to the wide world of me, Haibu! I’m so happy you found your way to my site - it’s always fun meeting new people. In fact, I’ve met a lot of new people in the past couple of years.

My best friend, Kanuux and I met on my crazy adventure in New York. He’s technically a seal but he’s a person in my mind. That might be because I can speak to animals like they’re people.

I met pretty much all the orphans at the Barrington House Orphanage in New York City but grew very close with Scotty, Olli, and Zeek. They’re always up for helping me help the animals but that’s only part of why I love them with my whole heart. They’re funny, courageous, empathetic, and my goodness I just appreciate them so much.

They helped me rescue Wiz, Eron, Bishop, and a bunch of other animals from a trafficking ship so now all of those animals are our friends too!

The connections that I have with my friends, both the animal and human kind, have helped me see the world with fresh eyes. I’ve seen the unique struggles and pain they’ve been through without losing love or hope in their hearts. I know that humans are all capable of love and getting along if we just take the time to listen to each other without judgment.

Everyone has a story, and everyone should feel safe sharing it. My friendships have shown me the potential our world has and that’s what I strive to make happen in my lifetime – animals and humans are meant to thrive together.

I hope we can be friends too and you can help me make this world a better place. If you haven’t checked out the world with all the fun animal content on the home page yet, get on it!
